welcome to a shrine about my yaoi!!! /hj dw. i love the book since 2023 since we watched the 1994 movie on english lesson in school... i was in awe and so was my brother. we both became interested in it back then, and decided to find out more about the book. ofc we were surprised to see the differences. sadly i couldn't get my own copy back then, so i had to wait for 4 years to get one... yeah i'm too shy to ask parents to buy me anything. but i read a dutch ebook with my phone in hand and was in awe. finally in march i got a polish translation and i couldn't help but be happy!!! i read it whole in 4 hours... i love EVERYTHING about that

IYAHAHA I WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT MY WHOLE LIFE. they're my fav characters ever and i affectionately call them fran chan and kiki as joke and to not repeat myself. so first. i have been shipping them ever since i watched the movie first... but after i read the book i officially became #1 shipper however i was hiding it from the most of the world and there was a time that, for 8 billion people in the world only beloved boyfriend knew. thank you beloved boyfriend. first i love the word pick whenever there is ocassion to use it, for example when victor's dad asks him if he loves anyone else he says he "doesn't love any woman as much as he loves elizabeth" but helo blud you skipped men.. i guess.. I THINK I SOUND CRAZY RN BUT LEMME ENJOY MY FAVS ignore my stupid mind. don't let me START on how they call each other "beloved" etc etc. i know that this was used usually in many books but i did research and romantic friendships actually were a thing to cover queer relationships.. wait no im funny pls come back. okay so i come back. i love my girl elizabeth but pls fran has no chemistry with her. i dislike the topic of incest and as much as i am aware that it was normalized back then, but still it pushes me off from the ship completely.. well let's go back to the topic. i love the way clerb takes care of his "friend" so much (a role that's usually taken by female characters.. mhehe... ) and follows him always, no matter what happens after that. even if it leads him to death. i love the way that henry dies short after victor decides to destroy his second creation, also known as "the creature's partner".. hello? since then, fran also develops suicidal thoughts, which i find interesting. he wishes he died with him, becomes sick once more.. i also once thanks to tumblr noticed that heterosexuality in the book is always seen as something "forced" (i don't know the word)? it's hard for me to say what i mean, but i'm pretty sure that most of hetero relationships are forced (again, i'm aware that it was common in times.) again don't take this too serious!
they both are my favourite literature characters ever but i like clerval a bit more... i dyed my hair blonde to look like my design of him teehee!!! yippie
